The Center for Economic Research and Graduate Education – Economics Institute (CERGE-EI), a joint workplace of Charles University in Prague and the Economics Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, is a unique partnership designed to promote modern education and research in economics.

We would like to invite students to participate in the New Economic Talent  2015 Competition. This international competition is open to bachelor’s and master’s students in any field as well as recent graduates (up to two years after graduation). The competition has two rounds and selected finalist are invited to present their paper in Prague. Applicants submit a complete paper on a topic in any sub-field of Economics, broadly defined. The deadline for submissions is February 28, 2015. 

Moreover, for students interested in pursuing further economic studies, we offer two graduate study programs – Master of Arts in Applied Economics and PhD in Economics, both Western-style programs are taught entirely in English. We believe that CERGE-EI represents an attractive and valuable educational option for students who consider to study abroad.
