What is This Campaign About? What does the future of management thinking looks like to you? Would startup and corporate management techniques keep their current form or would they evolve, transform and maybe even merge? Would current business practices in strategy, communication, operations, human resources, etc., change?
Description
We are looking for your ideas on how the way we do business will change in the upcoming years. Do you have a vision about new business models and strategies – share it! Thinkers50 and Future Ideas are actively looking for the young thinkers – the disruptive creators of tomorrow. Since 2001, the Thinkers50 organization has been scanning, ranking and sharing the best management ideas in the world. The Thinkers50 awards are widely recognized as the ‘Oscars of management thinking’. And now it’s possible for you to get nominated!
How to Participate
What is your idea for the future of management thinking? Write a short description of your management idea (300-400 words).
Consider the following questions to guide you:
• How do you think current management practices will evolve within the next 5-10 years?
• Is there a current management practice that you favor but still iterate? Which one and how?
• Have you practiced or observed an innovative management approach?
• What would some potential implications from the implementation of your innovative practice be?
• What resources and costs would the implementation within an organization require?
• Have you tested your idea? Is there any evidence that is would work?
Make your submission stronger by relating to your own personal practice or/and academic paper you have written yourself or in collaboration with others. The main focus of your idea (and its background) has to be on innovative management practices. Optional: submit a video format pitching your idea. The video should be no longer than 3 minutes.
Evaluation Criteria
Your application will be judged on the following criteria. All of the above will have equal weight when determining the final outcome of the evaluation.
• Originality – how innovative is your idea
• Impact – what are the practical benefits to business?
• Adoption and relevance – will it be of interest to current business managers
• Demand – is there a business need for your solution
• Reference – referring your work to academic research and current practices will make your submission stronger.
