IBEC invites the submission of proposals for its 15th research conference to be held in Nürtingen, Stuttgart Metropolitan Region, Germany. The objective of IBEC 2016 is to provide a forum for intellectual discussion among scholars and practitioners. We seek to provide a platform to analyze the strategic challenges faced by firms, educators, governments, and other institutions in the global arena.
Topics IBEC 2016 encourages, but does not limit, submissions related to the cross-discipline theme of
“Sustainability in Business and Economics”. The topics for IBEC include, but are not limited to: international business environment, marketing strategies, international strategy, import/export management, world markets and global competition, organizational behavior management, management philosophy, health management issues, human resources strategies, management of education, expatriate management, business education, international entry strategies, transfer of technology / knowledge, cross-cultural consumer behavior, international logistics, information systems, operations management, international finance, international accounting, intercultural management, trade policy, and FDI policy. Both, practitioners and scholars, are encouraged to submit company case studies.

The early submission deadline has passed on August 1st, 2015 and we have already received a variety of high-quality submissions from all over the world.
In case that you missed out on the early submission you have the chance to hand in a paper before the regular submission deadline on September 15th, 2015.
Furthermore, we are happy to announce some more details on the conference program:
- During the opening ceremony of IBEC 2016 Dr. Nils Schmid, Deputy Minister-President and Minister of Finance and Economics of the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg will hold a key note speech (t.b.c.).
- One of the cultural highlights will be the excursion to Stuttgart with the visit of the world-famous Mercedes-Benz Museum, which is the only museum in the world that can document in a single continuous timeline over 125 years of auto industry history from its very beginnings to the present day. As a place of innovation, it also demonstrates that history can point the way ahead.
- Join us for a unique dinner experience at the medieval Castle Hohenneuffen. This outstandingly preserved architectural gem is situated on a large Jurassic rock on the edge of the Swabian Alb at an elevation of 743 m (2437 ft) in a strategically advantageous location on the slopes of the mountain range.
