Judicial Administration, Bachelor’s degree
“Judicial Administration" is a new specialty at the University of Economics - Varna. The specialty has been established in 2017. Its opening is entirely consistent with the needs of the practice. The aim is to provide modern education in an area that has not been specifically covered by the educational process of higher schools.
The main purpose of the education is to prepare highly qualified experts in the field of judicial administration who possess integrated knowledge, practical skills and serious professional competencies. The necessity is dictated by the dynamic development of the judicial sector, the sustainable tendency to increase the number in all types of cases and the specifics of the services provided, requiring specific competence.The tuition provides complex and profiled training oriented towards the main directions and activities in the administration of the bodies of the judiciary, as well as knowledge of basic legal branches and related legal institutes, forms and procedures of the different types of process, and also ways of out-of-court settlement of disputes.

The training in the specialty is four years (eight semesters) and is implemented in full-time education. After the sixth semester the students undergo practical training. The whole training course ends with a thesis defense or a complex state examination. Students graduating in Judicial Administration receive Bachelor's degree in professional field Administration and Management.
Students graduating in Judicial Administration can find professional realization as judicial administrators and can occupy different managerial and administrative positions in the judicial and prosecution. The positions they can occupy are in the following groups:
- Judicial Administrator
- Administrative Secretary
- Judicial Secretary,
- Employee in Registry, Court Registry, Archives
The Bachelors in "Judicial Administration" successfully adapt to the dynamic changes in the judicial and prosecutorial administrative practice and are able to successfully achieve the required expertise and educational level.
