Spanish and Latin-American Film Festival

The Spanish and Latin-American Film Festival born from the idea of sharing the Spanish culture in the city of Varna through the screening of different Spanish movies during the months of March. April and May with the collaboration of the University of Economics - Varna and the IV Bilingual School "F.Joliot-Curie". 

The Second Movie of the Festival will take place on the 28th April 2014 at 18.00h in the room "AULA" of the University of Economics - Varna with the screening of  La lengua de las mariposas (Butterfly's tongue), in Original Version with subtittles in English.

La lengua de las mariposas (Butterfly's tongue) is a 1999 Spanish film directed by Jose Luis Cuerda. The film centres on the close relationship of Moncho (Manuel Lozano) with his teacher Don Gregorio (Fernando Fernan Gomez), who introduces the boy to learn new aspects of the life. While the story centres on Moncho's daily coming-of-age experience, tensions related to Spanish Civil War interrupt Moncho's personal growth and daily life. The film received some critical acclaim. It was nominated for the 2000 Goya Award for Best Picture and won the Goya Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
