New Joint Master Degree Programme with Nottingham Trent University (NTU), UK
On June, 25th 2015 the University of Economics - Varna (UE-Varna) successfully signed a contract with
Nottingham Trent University (NTU), UK for the delivery of a Joint Master (MSc) programme in International Business and Management. Business contacts with NTU date back to the mid 90's, but the real preparation for the official validation by the Accreditation Commission of Nottingham Business School has commenced almost an year ago. The official arrangements have already taken place and the contract has been signed by both parties (UE-Varna and NTU).
NTU is purported to be the "greenest" university in the UK and has been ranked among the 10 most modern educational institutions in Britain. From this viewpoint, the strategic partnership between the two institutions is of paramount importance for the development of the educational market in Bulgaria.
The curriculum and teaching & learning methods are designed to be entirely comparable to those in employed at NTU. The study duration is 2 years (4 semesters). The first two semesters are delivered in Varna by special teaching teams approved by the Accreditation Commission of NTU during the validation event last week. Upon successful completion of this period, students proceed to their 3rd semester at NTU in the UK (lasting for approximately 4 months). The last semester is held at UE-Varna and is devoted to the preparation of a Master Dissertation under the supervision of specially appointed tutors. The dissertation defense event will be attended by external examiners and business representatives. We are also happy to announce that UE-Varna is prepared to start the Joint Course in International Business and Management from October this year.
Successful graduates will receive one joint Master degree certificate signed by both Rectors that will be issued by NTU and additionally Master degree awarded from UE-Varna. The quality of educational standards under the programme will be maintained to the highest measures, while the tuition fee will remain at considerably lower rates compared to the actual cost of studying at NTU thanks to this strategic contract.
Successful applicants hold a bachelor or master degree according to the Bulgarian evaluation system and have good command of English language (minimum B1 proficiency level or equivalent). The English language proficiency is proved by a certificate or by taking an entry exam at the University of Economics – Varna.
English language entry exams will be held on the following dates:

21st September
Applicants can sit for the English language exam multiple times.
